Major Moscow's Attacks Eliminate Power In Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in Ukraine
The country's energy systems have come under escalating attacks in the past few days

Overnight, Moscow's aerial assaults have resulted in electricity outages in large parts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were hurt while local people in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and encountered interruptions to water supplies, per reports from city officials.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a distinct aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, as reported by local officials.

Moscow has escalated strikes on power infrastructure over the past few days, while the country's government has requested "real steps" from partner nations to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the United States, the EU and the major economies - in delivering air defence systems and implementing restrictions," was stated in a public message.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty projectiles struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such assaults as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

The energy minister said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were laboring to repair systems.

A wave of strikes damaged energy infrastructure and residential structures in the capital.

Five out of the nine people injured in the assaults on the city have been taken to hospital, according to city authorities.

Regional authorities said the city came under significant strikes overnight. A seven-year-old child lost their life and multiple civilians were hurt.

The strikes come after periods of air raids in the region, parts of which are currently controlled by Russian forces.

All of Ukraine is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to spot.

Authorities told journalists that Moscow was deliberately attempting to demolish the country's energy grid, with assaults already impacting fuel infrastructure.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and officials were preparing for more assaults.
